Cadets stories of their courses and sailing trips. As you will see there is a myriad of activities cadets can get involved in. New cadets all have to spend a week, usually in term time, doing general cadet training, typically at SCTC Raleigh in Plymouth. Tall ship sailing is popular too, with cadets taking advantage of the cadets flagship TS Royalist. There are week long sailing courses at the Welsh Harp, the London Area boat station, where RYA courses can be taken, at very low cost. There's canoeing as well. Plus shooting, PT, communications, even cook steward to list just a few, as well as the very popular National Cadet and Junior Cadet summer camps.
