Graham WayletLtCdr (SCC) Graham Waylett RNR
Commanding Officer

Graham is a former CO and District Officer and a specialist in many areas. He returned as CO in November 2007, we welcome his experience and vigour.

Brett PackhamMarine 2nd Lieutenant Brett Packham
First Lieutenant

Brett joined TS St Albans in 2003 as a Marine Cadet reaching the rank of Cadet Sergeant. In 2005 he joined the staff as a Probationary Sergeant and in the following year was promoted to Marine 2nd Lieutenant. In August 2008 Brett was promoted to the ships First Lieutenant. Brett is training to be a doctor and is s studying at the Royal Free and University College Medical School. Accordingly as well as his duties as the ships First Lieutenant he has a keen interest in ensuring that cadets have a thorough grasp of First Aid.

Sgt Kevin WalesSergeant (SCC) Kevin Wales
Officer Commanding Marine Cadet Detachment (OCMCD)

Kevin joined the SCC in 2002 after becoming involved through his two sons. Enlisted as a Civilian Instructor Kevin was quickly promoted to a Probationary Sergeant in 2003. It was at this time that Kevin was instrumental in the planning and launching of the Units Marine Cadet Detachment. Kevin was appointed as the Officer in Charge of the Marine Cadet Detachment and under his guidance they achieved the highest grade possible in their first year. Kevin himself was a serving Royal Marine and is married with two boys, Laurie and Callum, both are Marine Cadets at the St Albans Unit.

Sgt Pete LansdownSergeant (SCC) Peter Lansdown
Marine Cadet Detachment

Peter joined in 2001 as a Civilian Instructor. In 2003 Peter was promoted to Probationary Sergeant and with Kevin Wales researched, planned and launched the Units Marine Cadet Detachment with great success.

At the beginning of 2005 Peter moved across to head up the Marine Detachment as OCMCD and has maintained the exceptionally high standards that have already won the detachment many awards. In 2006 he took over as OiC and has did a fantastic job for which we are all greatful, he stepped down in November 2007 but continues to make a great contribution.
