St Albans Sea Cadets (TS St Albans) took part in the annual Sea Cadet Pulling (rowing) & Sailing competition at the Welsh Harp reservoir in north London on Saturday 17th May.
Taking on other cadets from across the area Cadet Jamie Earle and Leading Cadet Steven Smart won the Boson sailing race.
Lieutenant Commander Graham Waylett who is the officer in charge at St Albans said:
“It was a great day out and it was good to see our cadets taking part and putting into practice what they have learnt. Winning the Boson sailing race was just the added bonus”.
TS St Albans is looking to take on more cadets and we welcome boys and girls aged 10 to 18 who want to learn more about kayaking, shooting, windsurfing, sailing, drill, camping/survival, first aid & orienteering and much more.
We meet Tuesday & Friday evenings 7pm behind Westminster Swimming pool, St Albans and we invite those interested to just turn up and say hello and have some serious fun.
