Life at St Albans Sea Cadets is serious fun and last weekend cadets aged 10
– 18 spent time learning
new skills and having great fun.
Commencing Friday evening cadets learnt some of the patrolling and
tactical
skills employed by marines, map reading, night exercises and a bit of PT in
the River Ver
followed by sailing pulling (rowing) and power boating at the
Welsh Harp (Brent) on Saturday.
Sunday saw cadets undertaking instruction on a riffle range before having
fun with paint bal guns.
Sleeping out under canvas also allowed younger
cadets to achieve their Expedition Training awards
We welcome boys and girls aged 10 to 18 who want to learn more about
kayaking, shooting, windsurfing,
sailing, drill, camping/survival, first aid
& orienteering and much more. We meet Tuesday & Friday
evenings 7pm behind
Westminster Swimming pool and we invite those interested to just turn up and
say
hello. We are also keen to hear from any adults who want to help out
either instructing or behind the
scenes in admin or in the galley.
