Following on
from their success in the Sea Cadets Hertfordshire District shooting

competition.
The team of St Albans Sea &
Marine Cadets took on 12 crack shot teams from eastern England at the
weekend competition held 30th Jan – 1st February in
Leicester to take second place and Marine Cadet, Cpl Callum Wales won the
individual “Best Shot” from the competition.
The team comprised: Marine
Cadets: Callum Wales (17),
Stephen Buck (16), Ben Lansdown (14) & Sea Cadets Demi Jueno– Chapman (15),

Lt Cdr. Grayham Waylett, the
Commanding Officer at St Albans, praised the continuing success of the
cadets commenting:
“We were very pleased with our
results taking on the best from across eastern England with weapons with
which the cadets were not familiar.”
Life at St Albans Sea Cadets is serious fun and we welcome boys and girls aged 10 to 18 who want to learn more about kayaking, shooting, windsurfing, sailing, drill, camping/survival, first aid & orienteering and much more.
We meet Tuesday & Friday evenings 7pm behind Westminster Swimming pool and we invite those interested to just turn up and say hello. We are also keen to hear from any adults who want to help out either instructing or behind the scenes in admin or in the galley.
